Meeting The Love Of Your Life
When I was a kid I would line up stuffed animals and pretend they were my class. The 6-year old me would teach them about math and kittens.
A couple years ago I hung a goal up on the wall of my office: “To Teach, Inspire, and Give.” Teaching was something that I was hesitant to label as a goal because I was afraid it would come true. How nerve racking it must be to be a teacher!
My first photography workshop was on Sunday.
It feels weird. Like meeting the love of your life. You have all these ideas in your head and aren’t sure what it’s is going to be like, but when it arrives, you’re like “Oh, theeeere you are.” It’s a combination of excitement, disbelief, and confident sureness. It felt natural and easy.
The day consisted of doing an engagement shoot, and a lecture series on how to build a successful photography business that you love.
Thanks to Lydia, Nicole, Cindy, Michelle, Emily, Taylor, Alex, Sunny, Jessica, Carla, & Nathanael for coming! It was a pleasure to lose my workshop virginity to all of you. 😛
Stay tuned for information on future workshops!
