What is included in this workshop?

The workshop is one day. The $849 investment begins with a welcome lunch reception at the Member’s-Only Royal Overseas League near Buckingham Palace. Special guest, Jana Williams who is a world renown photographer & Lifestyle Influencer, will give a talk on branding and share how she worked to organically grow her social media to have a combined following of over 300,000. Our goal for the style shoot is to mimic a REAL wedding so visually it is beautiful but remains RELATABLE to future clients.

Wedding Style Shoot concept

The wedding style shoot will be based on the concept of a modern bride who appreciates timeless style. We will be bringing clean and modern elements to a Grade 1 listed London building set in fashionable Mayfair. The definition of a modern bride to Christine Chang Workshops is someone who is looking for a wedding that is a less bridal and more contemporary. She wants her wedding to be natural and stylish with a timeless feel.

Is transportation and accommodation included?

The workshop cost does not include transportation or accommodation. Attendees will be responsible for arranging transportation to the workshop site and accommodation. However, if you would like hotel suggestions, please message us and we will be able to provide recommendations.

With London having an extensive and developed transportation network, navigating to and around London is not a problem as there are multiple transportation options ranging from public to private networks. More information on London’s public transportation system can be found here.

Once you have registered and booked your accommodation, you can always message us with your accommodation location and we can provide directions on easiest way to get to the workshop site.

Which airport is best to travel to?

London has five major airports: London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton and London Stansted. The two closest airports to Central London are Heathrow and Gatwick. More information about London’s airports, locations, and connections can be found here.

What is the weather like?

Weather is mild with an average temperature high of 16°C (60 °F) and a low of 7 °C (44 °F). Expect the weather to be cool in the morning when you leave the hotel, warm by midday and cool again by evening. With that in mind, pack plenty of layers. Additionally, you may still need a light coat and an umbrella in case of rain.

What adapter is needed for my electronic devices?

UK plugs, also used in Ireland, are large and have three, substantial, flat prongs. They are unlike plugs used anywhere else in Europe. If you use dual voltage appliances and devices, all you will need, throughout the UK, is a simple UK Adapter Plug. If you are traveling in from outside the UK, please do check your electrical devices voltage usage as the UK uses 240VAC 50Hz voltage wise.

Will my dietary requirements be accommodated?

Yes, of course! Please mention it in advance and we will take care of your specific requests.

Is this workshop for all levels and backgrounds?

This workshop is for photographers who feel comfortable using their camera without technical instruction. Many people feel shy or nervous if they have never photographed a wedding before. Workshops are for learning! If you aren’t comfortable posing the models, Christine will be posing and photographing them, and you are welcome to shoot over her shoulder.

What language will the workshop be in?

The workshop addresses wedding photographers from around the world and is run in English.

Can I use the images in my portfolio?

Of course! But you will be asked to thoroughly credit all contributors involved. A full list of contributors will be shared during the workshop, for you to use when relaying on your website, blog, or social media. We do, however, ask you not to submit these images to wedding blogs or magazines. Images of the same workshop, from different photographers, have proven confusing and misleading for wedding blogs.

Are ticket sales final?

Ticket sales are final but can be transferred to another person in case you can’t make it.
