Live a Life You Can Be Proud Of: My Bucket List Year

108B2124-Edit

I strive to make each new year the best year of my life, and at 33 years old, I can confidently say this year has been the best one yet.

The biggest reason being – I chose myself as number one priority, doing things that inspire and energize me. I find when you’re good at that, you show up as the best version of yourself for other people.

The main theme of 2015 was checking things off my Bucket List. A lot of items on there were travel, so this year I put most of my money toward doing 5 big things I’ve always wanted to do. They are:

1. Experience an Indian Wedding in India.

I fell in love with the culture during this trip. Photos from the wedding here, and here is a fun story about the Best Date Ever I went on while there.

2. Ride in a Helicopter.

I killed 2 birds with one stone with this one, because I rode a helicopter to check off the next thing on my list, which is…

3. Go dog sledding.

More photos from dog sledding on a glacier, and my incredible summer trip to Alaska here!

4. Visit Palau, Micronesia.

One of the most unique and spectacular places I’ve EVER seen. More personal photos from that trip here.

5. See the Aurora Borealis.

Needless to say, I wasn’t the most “responsible” with my money this year, but I don’t care. Going on these trips nurtured my soul and inspired me to take on new projects within my career.

Things will start changing direction in 2016, so stay tuned. As 2015 was the “Bucket List” year , 2016 will be the year of implementing change, in work and in love. I’m very excited for it.
