When You Are Going Through Something Crappy

We were in Sierra Leone. We had been told about a secluded beach that was a short hike north.

The hike ended up being more than we expected. The high tide forced us to hike through the forest. There was no path and we didn’t have a machete to carve our way through the brush.

After 30 minutes of slipping, stepping on, and getting whacked by spiky branches – “Ow!” “F*ck!” “Dude…,” we arrived at Black Johnson Beach.

A reminder that if you’re going through something crappy it’s a good sign, because if you’re open, something amazing is about to be revealed.
