Dear Dad,

You make me laugh like no one else can. You watch Tom & Jerry. You prance around in your underwear.

You fly down to LA to see me when I am sad. You don’t let much bother you. You are kind. You are calm.

You see the true beauty in things. You are passionate about work. You do what makes you happy.

You love history. You travel the world. You enjoy yourself wherever you are.

You still call me your little girl.

I love that we think the same things are funny, that we appreciate art in the same way, and our unspoken comfort.

I feel like the luckiest girl on this planet. You’ll never know the extent of my gratitude for having you in my life. Thank you for all that you do, and for teaching me how to live a graceful, adventurous, humorous life.
