My mom’s house got robbed a few months ago so my sister and I went over to help her clean. In the process we bagged up things to donate, like hundreds pieces of clothing from the 1980’s and 90’s.
My mother was sad to let them go but the truth is she would never wear them again – it was from a different chapter in her life. It was also one I enjoyed reliving as an adult because it shows what a fun, vibrant woman she was back in the day – In her 30’s, building her first business, raising two brats (including me – hee hee).
I brought some of the pieces down to LA with me and in an effort to preserve memories, called my girlfriends and did a photoshoot to create a fashion lookbook titled, “Mom’s Closet.” It would be her Christmas gift.
Thanks to my girlfriends for playing and having fun with me, and to my mother for inspiring me to be my own girl boss.
She liked it. 🙂
Stunning idea for your Mum. So glad that she liked it. Well done !!

I am so glad I caught this today as we’re heading out to lunch with your mom in 45 minutes. What a great gift, Christine. Put a huge smile on my face.
Clothes come and go out of style but daughters that have it will never. You are a caring and wonderful daughter.
Those are really nice words. Thank you for taking the time to write them Eric! 🙂
