If you are being hired to photograph weddings and events, you MUST have at least 2 camera bodies. Save up for your second camera body before buying a fancy new lens.
2 reasons:
1. In the slight chance that your camera stops working, you are . . . royally screwed.
What are you going to tell the client? “Sorry, I can’t finish photographing your wedding because my camera broke…”
2. Having multiple camera bodies allows for quicker shooting.
If you only have one and have to take time to change lenses, you are missing moments.
I own three Canon 5D camera bodies and love them like they are my children.
For brides and grooms, if you are in the market for a wedding photographer, it might be a good question to ask when conducting interviews.
