It started raining in Rayong, Thailand. Avril & Nick’s wedding was the next day and the ceremony was set to be outdoors.
For most people, the first thought that comes to mind is Oh no, what are we going to do?!
One of the most important things I’ve learned in life is that most things are out of your control, but the key is that perspective is up to you. You have 100% complete control right there.
A few of us went into town. Garrett, one of Nick’s best friends, seeing the weather, picked up something for the bride & groom.
This is Garrett with a mini banana.
What he bought were these funny cat umbrellas, similar to this one pictured below.
In the end, a wedding is not about rain, the location, cake, linen color, flowers, or when things go differently than planned.
It’s not about the weather.
It’s about a best friend seeing umbrellas at the market, and then picking them up because he thought of you.
It’s about celebrating with those who matter most.
Rain or shine, it’s going to be a good one . . .
P.S. The rain ended up clearing out. 🙂
