Karsten & Nicholas had their civil ceremony at one of the most beautiful courthouses in all of California – Santa Barbara! I met Karsten in the Faroe Islands a couple years ago and was thrilled when he asked me to photograph his elopement to Nicholas.

It was a relaxed day with family and a couple best friends. Their big wedding celebration is later this year in GREECE!

Nicholas’ family was thrilled they could be there. This is his grandma seeing him for the first time.

And of course, mom was especially happy to be there.

They invited me to join them for a casual dinner after but said I didn’t need to take photos. I took a few. Telling a good story of the day is important to me, and the non-formal, “non-exciting” moments tend to be my favorite. 🙂
