Recently I took a road trip with a couple photographer friends from Los Angeles to San Francisco to take advantage of the beautiful scenery in California. It’s one of the prettiest drives in the world!
Photos below by myself, Taylor Kinzie, and Katrina Jayne.

Lizard’s Mouth, Santa Barbara.
Ostrich Land in Solvang. The Ostriches are pretty scary (and smelly), but fascinating creatures.
One of my favorite beach towns in California – Cayucos.
“Hi I’m Christine and I just spent $50 on cookies.”
P.S. They’re from the Brown Butter Cookie Company.
Pismo Beach – Home to awesome clam chowder and sunsets.
Wine tasting in Harmony. We didn’t get a chance to, but if you have time, I recommend spending a day in Paso Robles. We had to decide who was going to be DD (designated driver). I lost.
Gilroy.
Dinosaur Point.
Dinosaur Point was my dog Sammie’s favorite spot (she passed earlier this year). We’d always stop here on our drives up to SF. I still get sad when I look at her photos. I don’t like feeling sad, but in the end I know it’s a good thing, because it means I really loved her. Hi Sammie! I miss you!
This field of poppies in Big Sur is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
Road trips are the best. I feel lucky to live in California.
I am going to change it up for a while and will be spending the Spring in London. Stay tuned for more travel photos from Europe.
Stunning pics !! Roadtrips are always such fun and even better when you take random off the beaten track roads. As a child, my Mum would often pile us kids in her blue 1978 VW beetle and we would just drive. Whenever we reached a fork in the road, we would shout left or right and then off we would putter in a new direction. We got to see some very interesting places and people along the way, pity I did not own a camera in those days but the memories remain thankfully. Whenever I see a Blue VW bug I think of my (now passed) Mum and all the funny adventures us Gals went on, flat tyres included.
