Below are photos from a trip to Iceland that I took in June with a few other photographers. I only went for 6 days which was enough time to explore the South from Reykjavik to Hofn. I can’t wait to go back to see the Western Fjords, and drive around the entire island!
Gullfoss Waterfall.
A sunny day in Geysir. Bluebonnets are EVERYWHERE during the summer.
Svartifoss. The basalt columns are a trip!
Glacier Lagoon. My favorite stop of the trip.
Turf houses in Keldur.
This old chap was the cutest.
4 quick general tips if you are planning a visit:
- Rent a car for sure. 4WD if you want to get to the cool places.
- If you are not camping, book your accommodations well in advance.
- Iceland is expensive so be prepared.
- Pack layers. You can experience all 4 seasons in one day, literally.
Wonderful images, Christine.
Thanks Marianne! Practicing my landscape photography has been fun.
