My niece & nephew (sis in the back on the couch). Nephew got hit in the face with a tire swing the week this photo was taken, resulting in the bloody nose. It’s not a flawless photo but these things happen. Kids play. They get hurt. Adversity can be great memories as well.

“Remember the time you were playing on the tire swing?” and being able to laugh about it is a more meaningful memory than a polished posed Christmas card photo to show everyone that we’re perfect.
