These Two Questions Transformed My Mindset and Made Me More Productive

Inspiration is important to me. It is what fuels my energy, my life force.

With work I have to love what I do or else I don’t produce great results. With relationships, I look for someone who inspires me 100%. It is a crucial component.

When I realized this, I asked myself 2 questions:

1. WHAT DO I LOOK AND FEEL LIKE WHEN I AM INSPIRED?

When I inspired, I stand up straight and my chin is up. I giggle at just about everything. I read a lot. I write a lot. Ideas are shooting at me from left to right. My photos become more creative. I’m lighter. I’m happy.

2. WHAT MAKES ME FEEL THIS WAY?

Traveling, new photography projects, being outdoors or in a well-lit uncluttered well designed space, hanging with people who are passionate about what they do, creative people, curious people, emotionally intelligent people, people who want to better themselves, people who take action.

These are the things I should be focusing on. Your emotional guidance system is extremely intelligent – it knows what’s up before your brain does. If something feels good, I keep doing more of it. If something feels bad, I stop (or if I have to do it, I find out what’s making it feel bad and change it around).

Inspiration fuels me. What fuels you?
