In late February and early March, the almond trees in California bloom.

It’s a really pretty place to take portraits – only downside is the blooms are visible for only a couple weeks and when exactly depends on the weather. I caught them at the tail-end this year so there were flowers, but not a ton. Still pretty though!

Apryl had an allergic reaction in her right eye on this day, causing it to be red and inflamed, but she was a great sport and showed up to the shoot! We improvised for many of her shots. 😉  She thought it was silly, which I think is a great way to approach life.
