I was photographing a one-year old’s birthday party.

“I want cake.  I eat cake.  RAWR.”

It’s that simple – human instinct.

It’s cute for a one-year old to do this, but what if an adult did it? Adults make this agreement that we should slice a perfect triangular piece, put it on a plate, and eat it with a fork.

WHO MADE THIS STUFF UP? Everything we do is learned and I honestly think that most of it is completely unnecessary. I miss the days when you don’t think and just DO.

For my birthday this year, I am face planting my cake.
