You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. –Jim Rohn
Peer group is extremely important. Your lifestyle, your income, your weight, your interests . . . just about everything will be the average of the people you spend the most time with.
If you surround yourself with successful people who go after what they want and make a lot of money, you see how accessible it is. They are walking examples. If you hang around people who always complain that things aren’t working for them and that making money is hard, you too will find it hard, and will most likely not have the courage or work ethic to go after your dreams.
If you have friends who are in great relationships, you will probably be in one too, or at least you will be optimistic because you see living examples of it. If most of your friends are in bad relationships, communicate poorly, lie, and aren’t honest with themselves, you will probably be on that path as well, or cynical as to whether an amazing, healthy relationship even exists.
